Google Maps and Yelp hand you thirty options and leave the deciding to you. Savor Scout picks one restaurant near you and tells you why it chose that one.
Savor Scout is a free web app. It needs JavaScript enabled to run the search.
Most people open Google Maps or Yelp, get a ranked list of thirty places, and are no closer to a decision than before — the list moved the work rather than doing it. Savor Scout takes the craving and the location and returns one restaurant, with the reasoning shown: its match score, what it beat, and the evidence behind the pick.
Tell Savor Scout what you're craving — tacos, ramen, cheap sushi, somewhere for a date — along with any constraints like price, dietary restrictions or how far you'll travel. It searches your area, reads menus and reviews for the specific dish you asked about, and returns the single best match rather than a directory to sift.
Yes. Searching is free and no app download is required. You can run one search without an account at all.
The taste quiz reads six dimensions of how you eat — heat, sweet, value, adventure, late nights and discovery — over five questions a day for six days, then names your food personality. Every answer weights what gets recommended to you, starting from day one.
